Roof Replacement in New Rockford
Challenge
We had gotten a call from this client that they were having some issues with leaking. After going out and doing a full roof inspection we discovered that the shingles are starting to break down and that when they were installed they didn't add step flashing along the walls. Water was not shedding appropriately and getting underneath. Like all of our roof inspections we went inside and looked in the attic to inspect the decking. We found that the decking had significant spacing and was not up to code. Spacing like this leads to a higher risk for shingles blowing off and if the shingles were to fail allows water to enter the home much easier then with solid OSB or plywood decking.
Solution
We notified the homeowner of what we found and proposed a full roof replacement as well as adding new OSB decking. She agreed that this was the best solution for her home and we got her on the books!
